March Price Rise

Unfortunately, it has become necessary to raise casual, concession card and monthly membership fees as at 1st March, 2010.

If you currently have a monthly payment set up, it will remain the same until it is cancelled. Current concession card holders will be able to stay at the old rate if they continue to re-purchase concession cards before the old one lapses. The new fees will be as follows:

Casual:
$20 (90 min)
$18 (60 or 75 min)

Five: $80 Ten: $140 Twenty: $250 Monthly: $110

Senior / Student / Community Card Holders:
Ten: $110 or Casual: $14

All concession cards are valid for six months.

 

Beginner Yoga Workshop Course - Four spaces left

If you are ready to begin yoga but have qualms, if you want to gain a deeper knowledge of yoga poses and technique, or if you have questions about your existing practice, this course of workshops is especially for you.  In this five week course you will attend a series of yoga classes where you will learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, movement and breathing and learn the basic poses safely.  Limited spaces ensure you will get plenty of personal attention and there will be opportunities for discussion, questions and answers.  Any injuries or personal differences will be taken into account as you learn how to practice yoga safely. Upon completion you will be able to integrate or return confidently into the yoga classes which are ideal for you.

The Essence of Beauty According to Ayurveda

In this workshop participants will explore the concept of beauty for any age, and how lasting beauty comes from deep inside the body and mind, resonating as poise, grace and vitality.

• Look at different skin types and their general properties and how these are characterised by the “doshas”;

• Explore the importance of the senses using touch, taste, sound, sight, smell and the affinity every person has according to the dominant elements of constitution;

• Learn daily face and body care routines and how to use “edible” formulations to cleanse, nourish and moisturise;

Yoga Therapy with Perry Macdonald

For some, doing a general yoga class is not appropriate due to illness, injury or other issues.  This is when a personalised aproach is recommended.  Yoga therapy respects individual differences in age, strength and flexibility and tailors an approach to the individual.  Perry brings with her 20 years of practise, and has studied under teachers such as Donna Farhi, Judith Lassiter, Glen Ceressoli, Twee Merrigan and John Theobold.  She is a naturopath and Ayurvedic practitioner and teaches postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs.
