Kat’s first encounter with yoga at the age of 16 left her certain it would also be her last. Years later, while studying for a Bachelor of Performing Arts at Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, yoga re-entered her life as a compulsory part of the curriculum. Through this practice, she was deeply impacted by the power of repetition, breath-led movement, and the discipline of continuing to show up. The subtle emotional and mental shifts that unfolded were remarkable, and yoga offered a sense of belonging and peace she had not experienced before. From those early experiences, a quiet dream of one day sharing yoga began to form.
Initially drawn to intense practices, Kat’s relationship with yoga has evolved over the past two decades into one more grounded in listening and trusting the body’s inner wisdom. Today, she invites you to move with curiosity, balancing effort and ease, and allow the practice to meet you as you are.
She has completed her 200hr teacher training with The School of Yoga under Joan Hyman and Sean Gray, alongside a further 200hr training in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga at Yogmantra Bali, with additional training in Yin Yoga.
Sharing yoga is a true privilege– a space where all of you is welcome, just as it is, without needing to become anything else.
